Carmen Taveras: Age 22 height and weight 5 "1" 110pds
Nationality: Dominican

I began my dance 'career' in a small high school production in 1994. At the age of 15 I was part of several plays and talent shows that challenged me and took me to places I never imagined. It was through that vehicle that I gained a respect, knowledge and a desire to become trained as a dancer. I decided to learn through experience. I became involved in several humble projects doing shows for Sepia and Rose Records, performing on BCAT and at the Apollo Theater in 1998. Since then I've sought training with "La Salsa de Hoy". I have been with the company for 19 months. Three months ago I was given the opportunity to dance with the elite dance team better known as 'Revelation", which represents La Salsa de Hoy. "Revelation" has broadened my horizons and has affirmed my goals to have a dance-oriented career.

Currently I am a member of the Revelation dance team, which represents La Salsa de Hoy dance school.

Pablo Sierra: Age 32 height and weight 5 "11"-180 pds
Nationality: Dominican

Pablo started dancing in the early 1990's. Since the beginning salsa has always been my predominant and preferred style of dancing. When I first learned how to dance salsas I learned what some people might call street style, better know as dancing on "one". In 1998 I decided to brush up on my salsa dancing and began attending "La Salsa de Hoy dance studio." Five months later I was asked to be a part of their Elite dance team. We participated in many events, including that years Boricua Festival (116 Street Festival). In 1999 I made my first television appearance with "La Salsa de Hoy dance troupe." We were invited to appear on a show called "Sabado al Mediodia" on channel 47 with the world famous "Groupo Niche." I learned a lot in those two years. It was a wonderful experience, which is why I continue to participate with the team, now known as the Revelation Dancers.
