Participants of La Salsa De Hoy, Inc. study the history and theory and theory of Latin dance culture along with the basic movements that provide the foundation of dance technique. They structure classes as a two-month program which teach the basic step along with additional 63 ebullient steps to master.

The program sets the foundation toward understanding the basis of today's popular dances, including the Mambo, Cha,Cha,Cha, Freestyle, Salsa, Merengue and Jazz. Children's classes are scheduled to meet at convenient times after school hours on weekdays and adults session meet Saturday afternoon.

The school is accessible and located in the heart of Brooklyn's Fifth Avenue commercial district. The instructors of La Salsa De Hoy, Inc. provide a wealth of experience and support that make your dance lessons an enjoyable and educational event.


"PROGRAM SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES"

Throughout the years La Salsa De hoy has strive at assisting and recruiting neighborhood youth to involve them in cultural awareness, music appreciation and dance instruction. They design these programs to promote self-esteem and self-discipline. Participants meet role models that foster interpersonal relationships and healthy attitudes about themselves, their heritage and communities.

Through constant contact with community programs, schools and law enforcement communities, La Salsa de Hoy, Inc. has helped inner-city youths realize the tenets of teamwork and community pride. Academic excellence and referrals to community based programs have become an integral part of the overall program scope.

La Salsa De Hoy, Inc's Objective is to provide cultural awareness through proactive involvement in education, dance, social and individual motivation.
